Social Media Marketing Specialist

Implement tactics and social media campaigns to enhance the company’s image. Primary focus will be on grassroots marketing programs and working with small business and government/private sector procurement departments.

  • Works closely with management in developing and implementing strategic, measurable outreach and marketing programs.
  • Develops written materials and presentations
  • Conducts market research and analysis
  • Writes and proofreads a variety of copy
  • Assists with event planning and organization

Daily Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, digital media, public relations, or communications
  • 2+ years’ marketing experience
  • Ability to write copy for the web
  • Experience using social media management and analytic tools
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using social media platforms as it relates to marketing
  • Proficient with computers
  • Ability to work within a team

Magazine Editor

Responsibilities:

  • Write, copy edit and proofread (in English) articles and ad as assigned.
  • Be responsible for the research on all articles written, ensuring the accuracy of all information contained in the article.  Articles should present a new and fresh approach on any given topic.
  • Create captivating titles, cover lines and Table of Contents text for publications.
  • Fact-check articles written by freelancers.
  • Multi-task: Work on more than one project at a time.
  • Work well in a team environment, alongside Graphic Designers, Photographers, Production, Sales and other editors.
  • Prioritize workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Participate actively in recommending potential articles/ideas for publication, as well as suggestions for how to improve workflow, quality and productivity.
  • The Associate Editor may be assigned an area of responsibility by the Editors (selected magazines, selected articles, topics or sections).  The Associate Editor must therefore be fully responsible for any article or text published by the company in that area, from its inception to writing, and in terms of factual and linguistic accuracy, as well as photos.
  • Establish contacts with freelance writers/translators as a way to contribute to the company's freelancer pool.
  • Actively participate in all editorial and other production-related meetings.
  • Attend seminars and events that will keep him/her updated as to new publishing (style, translating, copy editing) issues in the field.
  • Follow and actively enrich the company's style guidelines (English) for its publications.
